With the increasing costs involved in running a Welsh League Football Club and the demands of attracting players to our club, With one eye on the future Llansawel have become members of the MacWhirter Welsh Youth League. The decision to by the committee to fund and establish a youth team demonstrates LFC’s desire to nuture and develop their own young talent.
The new Youth team with the endorsement of both first team managers Barrie Colwill and Paul Vowles will kick of the new 2008/2009 campaign and will be based at Cwrt Herbert. ‘The aim of the youth set-up is to bring our own lads through the ranks and hopefully provide the right platform for them to make the step to the first team’ said Wyn Evans.
